I’ve worked in the optical industry for over 30 years, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

The right pair of glasses can completely transform not only how you look, but how you feel about yourself.

For me, eyewear styling is about so much more than choosing a frame.

I’ve seen first-hand what happens when someone puts on glasses that are truly right for them. Their face lights up, they smile differently and you can literally see the confidence shining through.

That transformation is what I love most about what I do.

Your glasses sit right in the middle of your face. They’re often one of the first things people notice about you, so I believe they should do far more than simply help you see.

They should enhance your features, complement your colouring, express your personality and, most importantly, make you feel fabulous when you look in the mirror.

I don’t just sell glasses. I style people in eyewear.

As an Optical Dispenser and Eyewear Stylist with over 30 years of experience, I bring together the two sides of eyewear that I believe should never be separated — how your glasses look and how they perform.

When I style you, I look at the whole person.

Your face shape and proportions, hair colour, eye colour, skin tone, personality, lifestyle, wardrobe and the colours you naturally gravitate towards all play a part.

But so does your prescription.

The size, shape, fit and positioning of a frame can make an enormous difference, particularly with more complex prescriptions. Beautiful glasses still need to give you beautiful vision.

It’s about getting everything working together.

Finding the glasses that feel like YOU

I don’t believe in putting everyone into the latest fashion trend.

I want to find your glasses.

You might love bold colour and want people to notice your eyewear before anything else. You might prefer something elegant and understated. Perhaps you've always played it safe and you're ready to try something completely different.

Or maybe you've spent years believing that glasses simply don't suit you.

They do. You just haven't found the right ones yet.

And sometimes, we need to create it.

Custom-made eyewear — because one size doesn’t fit everyone

This is one of my absolute favourite parts of what I do.

Not everyone fits standard-sized glasses, and you shouldn't have to compromise because your face doesn't happen to match the dimensions of a mass-produced frame.

With my custom-made eyewear options, we can change the size and proportions of selected frame designs and choose from hundreds of beautiful colour possibilities.

Depending on the range, we can customise the shape, sizing, front colour, side colours and other details to create something that is genuinely personal to you.

For some of my clients, it's the first time they've ever owned glasses that actually fit their face properly.

For others, it's simply the joy of creating something nobody else has.

Either way, there's something very special about putting on a pair of glasses that has been created for you.

Why I became The Glasses Lady

I started The Glasses Lady in 2020 at the age of 57.

Was that a slightly crazy age to start a completely new business?

Possibly. 😂

But after decades working in optics, I knew there had to be a different way of helping people choose their glasses.

I wanted to move away from the traditional experience of standing in front of rows and rows of frames wondering which ones suited you.

Instead, I wanted to create an experience where I could spend time getting to know the person sitting in front of me.

No rushing. No one-size-fits-all approach. No choosing something simply because it's a particular brand.

Just you, me and finding the eyewear that makes you feel incredible.

And The Glasses Lady was born.

More than a pair of glasses

One of the greatest compliments someone can give me isn't simply:

"I love my new glasses."

It's when they tell me how their glasses make them feel.

More confident.

More visible.

More stylish.

More like themselves.

I've had people arrive believing they couldn't wear colour, couldn't wear a certain shape or that they simply weren't a "glasses person."

Then we find the right pair.

And there it is.

That little change in expression. That smile. That confidence shining through.

That's why I do what I do.

Professional eyewear styling in Perth — and beyond

I welcome clients by appointment to my private eyewear styling studio in Carramar, northern Perth, Western Australia, where we can take our time and make your eyewear experience completely personal.

My commercial business address is in Joondalup.

I also offer Virtual Eyewear Styling for clients throughout Australia and overseas, so distance doesn't have to stop us finding your perfect frames.

If you require progressive multifocal lenses, I recommend having the lenses measured and fitted in person for accuracy and safety. You're still very welcome to work with me virtually to choose your frames and then take them to your local optometrist or optical dispenser for your lenses.
