Sustainability & Giving Back with The Glasses Lady
At The Glasses Lady, eyewear is about so much more than vision — it’s about confidence, beauty, and dignity. But it’s also about responsibility. I believe we all have a role to play in making the world a little brighter, and for me, that means giving back and making sure stylish, quality glasses don’t go to waste.
Collecting & Repurposing Frames
Every year, countless glasses end up forgotten in drawers or worse — thrown away. Instead of letting beautiful eyewear head to landfill, I collect old and new frames from clients, friends, and the community.
These frames are then recycled and repurposed: lenses are removed, every frame is cleaned, screws are tightened, and they’re restored so they’re ready to become something new. What could have been waste is transformed into sustainable eyewear that brings joy, confidence, and clear vision to someone in need.
Collaboration with Opticare & The Elusive Miss Lou
Sustainability is even more powerful when we do it together. That’s why I collaborate with Opticare, who provide high-quality prescription lenses, and with The Elusive Miss Lou, who has generously donated frames from her funky glasses collection. These partnerships mean that every recycled frame isn’t just practical — it’s stylish, unique, and designed to make people feel beautiful.
Giving Back to Our Community
Through this work, The Glasses Lady proudly supports three incredible charities that are close to my heart:

Each pair of recycled glasses is matched to someone in need, styled to reflect their personality, and fitted with prescription lenses thanks to Opticare. It’s not just about giving clear vision — it’s about giving people the confidence to step into the world and feel amazing.
Why It Matters
Sustainable eyewear isn’t just about recycling materials — it’s about reimagining what’s possible. By repurposing frames, we reduce waste and extend the life of quality glasses. By donating them to those in need, we bring something even more powerful: confidence through eyewear styling.
